Chic Classics with a Playful Twist!
If there's one thing I'm loving about this fall's fashion, it's that it's both timeless AND fun. The trends we’re seeing aren't about completely reinventing your wardrobe. Instead, they're about building on classic pieces with fresh details, textures, and a few playful patterns (think plaid and polka dots) that make getting dressed feel fun again!
Here's what's catching my eye this season (and some sneak peeks of what we have arriving soon!):
Plaid, but Make It Feminine
Plaid is back every fall, but this year it feels more feminine and chic. Instead of oversized, thick flannels and rugged, oversized styles, instead think feminine plaid tops, pretty dresses, and tailored pieces with flattering, more fitted silhouettes. It's the perfect way to embrace a classic fall pattern while still looking chic and modern.
Polka Dots & Gingham Keep on Keeping On
Classic, playful prints have been on trend all year and I'm here for it! Polka dots bring a timeless charm that pairs great with denim, and the soft pretty Gingham colors we saw in the Spring are replaced by a bolder and more elevated color scheme for fall. Whether it's a cute vest, a statement top, or a dress, these prints add a touch of personality without feeling overwhelming.
Stripes That Never Go Out of Style
Some trends come and go, but stripes always find their way back. This fall, we're seeing clean, classic stripes in sweaters, lightweight knits, and everyday tops. They're effortless, easy to style, and instantly make an outfit feel put together. And contrary to popular belief, stripes are actually slimming so you can wear with confidence!
Structured Layers You'll Wear on Repeat
One of the biggest pieces to invest in this fall is a great blazer. Neutral shades like black, cream, taupe, camel, and chocolate brown are incredibly versatile and instantly pull an outfit together. Throw one over a basic tee and jeans and keep it casual, layer it over a dress, or pair it with trousers for an effortlessly chic look. It's one of those wardrobe staples you'll reach for again and again.
Denim Keeps It Classic
When it comes to jeans, we're seeing a shift towards more timeless silhouettes. Classic straight leg and bootcut denim continue to lead the way, especially in versatile medium washes. They're flattering, easy to dress up or down, and pair perfectly with everything from sneakers to ankle boots.
The Overall Vibe
This fall is all about looking effortlessly stylish without trying too hard. Think classic pieces, tailored layers, beautiful neutrals, and playful patterns that add just enough personality. It's modern without feeling too formal, relaxed without looking sloppy, and full of pieces you'll wear season after season.
I can't wait to bring these styles into the boutique over the coming weeks. Whether you're looking to refresh your wardrobe with a few new staples or simply add a fun print or updated blazer, this season has something for everyone!
